Hi, I'm

Jasper

Quantitative Political Science student at the University of Edinburgh.

Researching Aviation Geopolitics and Air Power through a lens of Kaizen.

About me

I am a third-year quantitative student at the University of Edinburgh. My professional ethos is built on Ikigai (purpose-driven action) and Kaizen (continuous improvement), translating 16 months of logistics experience at UPS into rigorous research on aviation air power and geopolitics.

Using Stata, Python, and SQL, I model complex global systems while practicing Omotenashi—anticipating stakeholder needs to ensure operational consistency across my leadership and emergency response roles. I am dedicated to creating efficient, high-impact systems within the global aerospace and defense sectors.

How I work

Ikigai

Purpose-Driven Action

The alignment of professional mission with global impact. I apply this to my quantitative research in aviation air power and geopolitics, seeking to create efficient, high-impact strategic systems.

Kaizen

Continuous Improvement

The methodology of optimizing flow and eliminating operational waste. Informed by 16 months at UPS Supply Chain Solutions, where I leveraged data integrity to refine logistics and centre flow processes.

Omotenashi

Anticipatory Service

The practice of proactively anticipating stakeholder needs. I integrate this into my leadership as a Retail Team Leader and my emergency response as a First Aider to ensure meticulous procedural safety.

Highlights & Updates

  • Aerospace Industry Simulations | BA & GE Aerospace

Applying Kaizen to aerospace engineering and supply chain workflows through professional industry simulations.

  • Frontline First Responder | Street Assist & GoodSAM

Practicing Omotenashi through frontline emergency response and life-saving welfare support in Edinburgh.

  • Retail Team Leader | Edinburgh University Students' Association

Leading retail operations through anticipatory service and operational standard optimization.

Keep in touch

I am always keen to connect with fellow researchers, industry professionals, and aviation enthusiasts working at the intersection of defense, diplomacy, and strategic air power.

As I progress with my quantitative research at the University of Edinburgh, I am particularly interested in discussing how aviation geopolitics and computational modeling can inform the future of global security and aerospace logistics.

Whether you are looking to collaborate on political data analysis, discuss the future of the aerospace industry, or explore the application of Kaizen in complex systems, feel free to reach out.
